[Francis looks a little distracted and uncertain. He lets out a sigh.]

I wonder if I might prevail on one of the ladies of the Barge for some company? [He smiles in acknowledgement of how it sounds.] Nothing, untoward, I... just was reminded of how I missed my wife in that port. She's an intelligent, witty woman and I very much relied on her to give me a grounding.

The 'therapist chick' is perfectly welcome to respond, of course, but I prefer to offer a give and take conversation rather than foist my feelings onto a woman simply because she feels obliged.

If you're not paying her she's not obliged.

Therapy is for our good, never the good of the therapist, especially if you're not getting money for it. There's a limited martyring element to it, I suppose, shouldering our burdens.

If I go to her as a patient looking for a therapist, the relationship is set in that position. If she comes to me, interested in what I have to say or think, that's an entirely, more equal set up. That set up is what I'm looking for.
